End user licence agreement

The service

Mostess lets holiday-rental hosts take direct bookings, and lets cleaners track changeovers and send invoices. Connecting Xero or QuickBooks is optional. If you connect one, you allow Mostess to create the contact and copy invoices you send into that account. You can disconnect at any time from your settings.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Mostess for your own hosting or cleaning work, on devices you own or control. You may not sell, rent, or sublicense that access.

Your account

You must be 18 or over. Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what is done with your account.

The Mostess for Cleaners app has no charge inside the app. Host plans, where they apply, are shown and agreed on the website before you pay. Payments are taken by Stripe.

Your content

You keep ownership of the listings, photos, stays, notes, invoices and other material you add. You give us permission to host, display and process that material so we can provide the service, including sending invoices and, where you have connected them, copying invoices to Xero or QuickBooks.

You confirm that:

• you have the right to enter the information you add
• host, guest and property details you add may be shared with the people that booking or job involves
• you will not upload anything unlawful or that you do not have permission to use

Acceptable use

You must not:

• break the law, or infringe someone else's rights
• try to access another account, or probe or disrupt the service
• copy, resell or build a competing product from Mostess
• use the service to send spam or misleading invoices

We may suspend or close an account that breaks this agreement. You can stop using Mostess at any time. Cleaners can delete their account in the app under Account, then Delete account. Hosts can email us and we will close the account.

Privacy

We handle personal information as described in the privacy policy. That policy is part of how the service works, and this agreement does not change it.

Availability and changes

Mostess is provided as available. We may change, pause or withdraw features, and we will give reasonable notice when a change materially affects a paid host plan. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.

Liability

Nothing in this agreement limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.

Mostess is a tool for managing bookings, changeovers and invoices. You are responsible for the amounts you invoice, the information you enter, and your own tax and bookkeeping. We are not liable for lost profits, lost bookings, or decisions you or your host make from what Mostess shows. Subject to the paragraph above, our total liability to you in any 12 month period is limited to the amount you paid us for Mostess in that period, or £100 if you paid nothing.

The iOS app

If you use Mostess for Cleaners from the App Store, this agreement is between you and Mostess only. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price if you paid one. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.

Mostess, not Apple, is responsible for any product claims and for any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property. You must comply with any third-party terms that apply to your use of the app, such as your mobile data plan. You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a UK or US government embargo, and that you are not on a UK or US list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement for the iOS app, and may enforce it against you.

Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales deal with disputes, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, where the law allows it.
